Imogen Poots In Talks For The Lonely Island's Connor4real

And Tim Meadows is officially aboard the music spoof

With Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Shaffer busy making their Lonely Island movie, working titled Connor4real, we’re starting to learn who has been cast in the film. Imogen Poots is in talks to play opposite Samberg, with Tim Meadows locked in. 

The film, which takes pot shots at music documentary/concert films such as Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, sees Samberg as a rapper who has found big success since splitting with his boy band, but who must regretfully reunite with them when his latest solo album flops. Taccone and Shaffer are co-starring and directing, with Judd Apatow on hand to produce.

Poots is close to the role of Samberg’s girlfriend in the film, while Meadows will be his harassed manager. Sarah Silverman is already aboard to play his sarcastic publicist. The cameras are cranking now in Los Angeles and the film should be out next year.

Meadows will show up in Trainwreck, which lands here on August 14. Poots has a role in Terrence Malick’s Knight Of Cups and will also be seen in thriller Green Room (which has received solid reviews at Cannes) and Cameron Crowe’s music comedy TV pilot Roadies.
