For Sunday night's SNL 40th anniversary special, some of the best moments happened off camera. Celebrities worked the red carpet outside 30 Rock, Kanye West interrupted NBC's pre-show coverage seconds before the special began, and Jim Carrey asked Matt Lauer where he was hiding Brian Williams.
