When last we saw the amazing Spider-Man on screen, he was swinging a hubcap at a charging, mechanical Rhino (Paul Giamatti) in the waning moments of Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The wall-crawler's future seemed clear. He'd next be called into action to fight and defeat The Sinister Six, a villainous squad born out of OsCorp's laboratory.
