Scottish actor Richard Rankin has joined Outlander as Roger Wakefield, Variety reports.
The adopted son of Reverend Wakefield, Roger is an Oxford professor who plays an extremely important role in Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie's (Sam Heughan) lives moving forward.
