2016 Done In 60 Seconds Entries Are Open

2016 Done In 60 Seconds Entries Are Open

You could be a star at the next Jameson Empire Awards

The Jameson Empire Done In 60 Seconds competition is back and could see you showered with praise in front of movieland’s glitterati at next year’s Empire Awards. There's even a nice shiny trophy.

The rules are simple. Pick any film – highbrow Oscar-winner or gross-out comedy, we don’t mind – and reimagine it any way you like as long as it doesn’t run over sixty seconds. Animation, claymation, pugs-in-the-fridge-pretending-to-be-Zuul-mation: go nuts.

Oliver Jones and Robert Kenyon took to the stage last year for their hilarious take on Ghostbusters, featuring said fridge-based pug:

“Entering the competition was relatively easy,” laughs Jones. “Getting the film made, on the other hand, was pretty tough – making the props, getting the cast together and editing/post-production took weeks, if not months. When we heard the words ‘UK’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ being read out, to say I was shocked is an understatement. It was one of the best moments of my life.”

So whether you gather your family together for a live-action Inside Out or turn your pet turtle into Immortan Joe, be sure to get your entry in by January 14, 2016. All you have to do it upload it to jamesonempirediss.com Time to get storyboarding.
