NBC's new drama The Player has one of the most ridiculous premises of any of the new fall TV shows -- but that's not a bad thing.
Unlike so many of the shows trying to "cut through the clutter" with a splashy concept, The Player knows exactly what it wants to be: a high-octane crime thriller that
Emma is going to need all the help she can get. Too bad it looks like she just made an enemy.
In the clip above from Once Upon a Time's Season 5 premiere on Sunday (8/7c, ABC), Emma (Jennifer Morrison) seems to be pre-Dark Swan (and pre-rinse and blow dry), walking through the Enchanted Forest. Guest
Leave it to Jimmy Fallon. We never realized how much we missed Good Burger until Wednesday night.
Former All That co-stars Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited on Wednesday's Tonight Show for a classic Good Burger sketch, featuring Fallon reminiscing about his first job (shoving grapes up his
Following a couple of traditional trailers for Davis Guggenheim's powerful documentary He Named Me Malala, here's one with a bit of a difference. Over 50 secondary school students from across the UK were involved in the making of this new 'Inspire' clip which culminates with Malala Yousafzai’s famous declamation: “One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen can change the world”.
Malala, as you're no doubt aware, was targeted by the Taliban at the age of 15 for the dire crime of wanting to go to school. She was shot in the head while travelling home on her school bus in Pakistan's Swat Valley. Though critically injured, she miraculously survived to continue her crusade for equal opportunities and education. The attention from the attack led to her taking the campaign worldwide and co-founding the Malala Fund, which helps to spotlight girls’ education globally.
Guggenheim’s film offers a candid look at her life and the relationship with her father, the man who inspired her love for education, and found himself on the wrong side of the Taliban along with his daughter. It chronicles not only big moments in her life – such as becoming a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and speaking at the UN – but also her experiences at home with her brothers.
He Named Me Malala will arrive in UK cinemas on November 6.
Get your first look at the British superhero comedy
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s a trailer for one of the year’s most unexpected delights – the British superhero comedy, Superbob. Click below to take a look.
We know what you’re thinking. But fear not – Jon Drever and Brett Goldstein’s movie avoids all the pitfalls that a low-budget superhero comedy can fall into, opting instead for a touching, often hilarious day-in-the-life of the world’s only superhero, Bob Kenner (Goldstein, who also co-wrote), a postman from Peckham whose life is forever transformed when he’s struck by a meteorite. The film tracks him through his day off, as Bob tries to go on a date while avoiding pressure from his bosses at the Ministry of Defence.
Trust us on this – the entire budget of Superbob probably wouldn’t cover the Avengers’ catering, but Superbob is a warm, funny, touching treat. Check out the new trailer for it here. The film opens on October 16.
