For the third time this season on The Amazing Race, the team saved on a non-elimination leg was ousted the following leg. But unlike Jonathan and Harley, and Aly and Steve, things could've turned out a bit differently for Matt and Ashley. Twice in the Peruvian leg they were in the right spot, but
Kate's niece Meg and her BFF were grabbed and thrown into a van at the end of last week's Criminal Minds, but as we'll learn on Wednesday's season finale, this ain't no simple kidnapping.
"This isn't some loner who wants to keep girls in a dungeon," Morgan (Shemar Moore) says in the exclusive preview
With just two episodes left of the season, the intensity of the NBC drama shows no signs of slowing down and our exclusive sneak peek is certainly no exception. In the episode, the house continues to be
Described this time as based on real events, the new script, which Akerlund co-wrote with Dennis Magnusson, is once again drawing from Michael Moynihan and Didrik Søderlind’s eponymous book which charts the wildly changing fortunes of 17-year-old Øystein Aarseth, who was determined to escape his traditional upbringing in 1980s Oslo. He began playing Norwegian black metal under the name Euronymous with his band Mayhem and drummed up publicity by putting on shocking stunts. But things quickly spiral out of control and his contact with Varg Vikernes, aka The Count, of one-man-band Burzum led to a tragic turn of events. Events in the book, which, it should be noted, many of those involved have since called into question.
Akerlund seems like a solid choice to make this one, given his own history with black metal: he was the original drummer for legendary Swedish band Bathory, and has extensive experience working as a director with musicians. He’s aiming to start shooting later this year in Norway.
Jones will next be seen in Roland Emmerich’s Stonewall, which has yet to set a UK release date. Culkin will be seen in indie movies Shut In and the untitled directorial debut of actor-turned-shot-caller Ari Gold.
May the fourth seems like the right day to be publicising new pictures and details from this December’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is why Vanity Fair picked it to run some images from its big cover feature shot by star photographer Annie Leibovitz, who visited the set last year. {The Force Awakens Vanity Fair}
Among the information carried by the magazine’s online piece on the photoshoot and film is final confirmation that Driver is playing the villainous Kylo Ren (and that he wields the much-discussed “broadsaber”), and, much more interestingly, we know that Lupita Nyong’o is playing a pirate named Maz Kanata and that her character will be brought to life using CGI based on her performance capture work.
Also in the piece? Co-writer/director J.J. Abrams joking about revealing the fate of one particularly controversial character (“I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks’s bones in the desert there.” Abrams says about a shot from the film. “I’m serious! Only three people will notice, but they’ll love it”) and talking about the note he gave Harrison Ford on playing Han Solo this time. “I knew that he had done in some movies a kind of more growly thing, and I didn’t want Han to be growly,” he says. “There was a fire in his eyes that you see in the movie.” For more images, head here. Looking ahead to the future, there was also an announcement about where Rian Johnson will be shooting his first entry, Episode VIII. You might not be shocked to learn that, per the government, the Star Wars production team will be headed back to Pinewood for the main stage sets. There’s no set date for when things will kick off, but the film will be out on May 26, 2017.
As for The Force Awakens, that arrives on December 18.
