Disney demonstrated an uncanny ability to be consistent with live action films based on its animated classics while Liam Neeson had one of the worst opening weekends of the last decade. Cinderella danced into theaters with a strong number one, banking $70 million. That's almost the exact amount Maleficent took in on its opening weekend last May.
