Weekend Box Office: Valentines Weekend Sees Crappy Shades of Grey Top Quality Kingsman

American audiences sometimes aren't the most discerning when it comes to appreciating quality movie-making. The promise of titillating sex or mid-school grade fart jokes tends to go a lot farther than great acting and enjoyable plots. The two new movies this weekend served to solidify the point. As expected Fifty Shades of Grey was the top grosser this weekend, hauling in a hefty $81 million. In foreign markets the intrigue factor behind what turned out to be a painfully overhyped and underwhelming resulted in opening weekend records being broken in 11 countries and Universal pictures enjoying one of its largest world-wide openings ...

14 Big Differences Between The Fifty Shades Of Grey Book And Movie

Turning any book into a movie is a big task, and director Sam Taylor-Johnson had her hands full adapting Fifty Shades of Grey for the big screen. She was given the task of appealing to E.L. James hordes of fans while still creating a movie that could be R-rated and be seen by a larger portion of the movie-viewing population. Despite the problems on set, Taylor-Johnson largely succeeds at this by creating a Ms. Steele with a little more spunk and cutting out some of the racier chunks of the novel. Unfortunately for fans, this means there are a ...

Diane Kruger Finds The Infiltrator

Diane Kruger Finds The Infiltrator

Co-starring with Bryan Cranston

Diane-Kruger-The-Infiltrator

With Bryan Cranston and Lincoln Lawyer director Brad Furman locked in to reunite for a new thriller called The Infiltrator, they’ve now found someone to co-star with the artist formerly known as Walter White. Inglorious Basterds’ Diane Kruger is that someone.

Adapted by Ellen Brown Furman from customs and excise agent Robert Mazur’s autobiography, the film will find Cranston as Mazur, who must investigate dodgy dealings by going undercover as a man named Bob Musella. There’s no word on what part Kruger will be playing in the film, but she’s snatched the second lead role.

While Furman had hoped to be rolling the cameras last month, it appears he’ll have to wait a little longer to get cracking on this one, with shooting set to start shortly.

Kruger, most recently seen here as an alien in The Host, has several films in the works including Fathers And Daughters, Close Protection and Sky. She’s also attached to Penelope Cruz’ new drama, This Man, This Woman.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past Almost Featured A Younger Wolverine

The X-Men are getting older. There's no arguing that, as the franchise dates back almost a decade and a half now. It's a bit scary to think about the actors and actresses we've come to know as Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm being replaced, but in the upcoming 2016 sequel, that's exactly what we're going to see. Scarier yet, is the thought of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine being replaced by a younger, more "age appropriate" model. It may sound hard to believe, but that's exactly what almost happened in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past. Many fans of the franchise would argue ...
