8 Spider-Man Characters Marvel's Reboot Needs To Stay Away From

Spider-Man is back! But who is he bringing with him? That's one of several questions we are waiting to have answered now that we know the wallcrawler is going to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe AND a planned solo movie that will land in theaters in July 2017. While we have heard that Sony and Marvel want to go with a younger, high-school-aged Spider-Man, we're not even sure if the secret identity of the rebooted hero will be Peter Parker (as is tradition) or someone else. So while we are fantasy casting the reworked Spider-Man universe, here are eight ...

Eric Bana Will Be King Arthur's Dad In Knights Of The Round Table, Get The Details

The upcoming rendition of Knights of the Round Table has just cast itself a new fatherly figure. The former Hulk and Troy star is set to play the father of the timeless tale's iconic protagonist and future legend lore king, Arthur Pendragon. Bana will join what is increasingly becoming an impressive cast for this ambitious redux, kicking off what the studio hopes will be a six-part series of films. Ryan Reynolds Just Revealed Deadpool's Mask And We're Fired Up

Although Wade Wilson made his theatrical debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the character that appeared in that story was in no way Deadpool. Aside from a brief five minutes of Ryan Reynolds wisecracking, Wade spent the majority of the film as a multi-powered science experiment that had his mouth sewn shut. Fortunately, 2016's Deadpool will attempt to remedy past mistakes by giving the Merc With a Mouth the film he deserves, and one of the main fixes will be giving him something he never had in the last film: a mask. Now thanks to Reynolds, we know what Wade will ...

Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel Comics Planned

Mad Max: Fury Road Prequel Comics Planned

And an art book to boot

Mad-Max-Fury-Road-Prequel-Comic

The prequel comic is becoming an increasingly popular way of expanding awareness about movies, as well as allowing filmmakers to add in ideas and stories that can’t squeeze into the running time of the eventual film. Mad Max: Fury Road is just the latest to leap on to that bandwagon, with several prequel comics and another staple of film tie-ins, the art book, on the way.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint will be releasing three separate comic book prequel series, all focusing on different characters in the movie, with scripts by writer/director George Miller, co-writer Nico Lathouris and Fury Road’s storyboard artist Mark Sexton. The comics will kick off with Mad Max: Fury Road – Nux & Immortan Joe, followed at monthly intervals by Mad Max: Fury Road – Furiosa and Mad Max: Fury Road – Mad Max. Which is probably overkill on the use of Tom Hardy’s character’s name, there. {Mad Max: Fury Road Comic Cover}

May also sees the debut of Mad Max: Fury Road – Inspired Artists, which sees artwork driven by the film from such names as Dave McKean, Bill Sienkiewicz, Gilbert Hernandez and more plus commentary from the creators and Miller himself. It’ll be out in stores May 6, followed by the first comic on May 20. As for the film, that motors in on May 15. Check out the latest trailer below.
