Online Movie Ticket Sales Were Gigantic In January

To say that January isn't the best month for movies would probably be a pretty big understatement, and yet two major movie ticket outlets are reporting sizable bumps in January ticket sales, thanks in large part to two movies, one of which hasn't even hit theaters yet. Both Fandango and MovieTickets credit American Sniper and Fifty Shades of Grey for sizable increase in ticket sales over the previous January. By comparison to January 2014, this past month's ticket sales were up by 68% at Fandango (and higher than any single month in 2014), while MovieTickets.com saw a 37% increase in January ticket sales. ...

So far this season, Justified newcomer Garret Dilahunt has made (mostly) nice with the folks in Harlan. But something tells us that won't always be the case.

How Much Of Black Widow's Sordid Past Will We See In Avengers 2?

Spoilers for Agent Carter are ahead If you watched last week's episode of ABC's Agent Carter, you undoubtedly remember that Peggy Carter's new neighbor Dottie, who is not as sweet as she seems, killed a man with moves similar to what we've seen Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow use in the movies. The show runners revealed hours later that Dottie is part of the Black Widow Program (though it isn't called that on the show), i.e. the precursor to the shadowy organization that Black Widow was affiliated with before joining S.H.I.E.L.D. While ...

Why Rome Might Look Like A Disgusting Hellhole In James Bond's SPECTRE

Besides over-the-top action, beautiful babes, and sophisticated suits, the James Bond franchise is also known for its beautifully sublime shooting locales. The upcoming Bond film, SPECTRE certainly was not looking to break that trend with its impending shoot in Rome. However, due to the apparent trashy, graffiti-ridden state of the city, things are looking mighty dire for the signature aesthetic that the film is hoping to carry. According to the UK's The Independent, the pre-production team for SPECTRE is increasingly finding that the city of Rome, which typically brings to mind images of ancient historical architecture and classy old-world European ...

Tom Cruise Is Planning To Get Really Fat For This Badass Role

It looks like Tom Cruise will be packing on some serious poundage for his next role. The actor is reportedly circling a biographical action drama set in the 1980's called Mena. Cruise would prospectively play a real life drug smuggler-turned-CIA asset named Barry Seal, who played a role in the events of the U.S.-led efforts to subvert the communist Sandinista government. According to a scoop by Deadline, Cruise is currently in talks to nab this starring role as a very un-Maverick-like pilot named Barry Seal. Should the deal be set, Cruise, who is currently wrapping up his latest ...
