The Purge 3 Is Happening, But Not As Quickly As You'd Like

It's easy to remember all the good that The Purge does. It helped revitalize the horror movie genre with a unique storyline about the one night a year when crime is legalized, and it has proven to be a pretty big moneymaker. Now that The Purge 3 is in the works, Universal has finally set a release date for our next outing. But it turns out we'll have a lot longer to wait than we initially thought. After the first film debuted in 2013, The Purge: Anarchy was quickly greenlit and rushed into production for a 2014 release. However, The Purge 3 is taking ...

The LEGO Batman Movie Will Take This Different Approach To The Dark Knight

Everything was awesome when The LEGO Movie hit theaters last year, but everything will be even awesome-er when The LEGO Batman Movie swings into action. Co-directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord are bringing back Will Arnett's hilarious character for his own spin-off adventure, and now we finally know what it'll be about! Get ready for a Batman story like none other. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy created a Batman universe that was dark and gritty and brooding, and DC has incorporated this feeling into Man of Steel and, presumably, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. However, Lord and Miller are ...

The 10 Greatest Part 3 Movies Of All-Time, Ranked

The release of Taken 3, according to early chastening reviews, appears to prove the common consensus that while sequels are mostly awful, threequels are even worse. That isn't always the case though. In fact, some Part 3 movies have actually added depth and characterization to the cinematic universes that they're set in thanks to the introduction of intriguing new characters and narratives that pay homage to previous installments. They're also able to sturdily stand strong as singular movies, too. On the other hand, there is Rush Hour 3, which is so bad it even makes you hate the world's most loveable man, Jackie ...

Listen To Liam Neeson Make An Hysterical Prank Phone Call As His Taken Character

What would you do if you got a call from Bryan Mills himself? The main character of the Taken franchise is pretty badass, so any of us would probably crap a brick in excitement. But now imagine that Mills is threatening to break your arm — slowly. You'd be losing your bowels for a completely different reason. Well, that's what the man who broke the heart of Maggie Grace had to endure. Grace went on Conan the other night to promote the next and last installment of the series, Taken 3. (We refuse to refer to it as Tak3n.) During the ...

Liam Neeson Wants To Return To Star Wars, Here's How It Can Happen

Despite the fact that fans have repeatedly panned Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace throughout its 16 year life span, there were a couple of bright spots in an otherwise dismal film. One such spot has always been Liam Neeson's performance as Jedi Knight/Obi Wan Kenobi's mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn. Unfortunately for those of us who were so amped to see Neeson wield a lightsaber, it was short lived as he was taken out by Darth Maul towards the end of the film. Of course, you can't keep a good Jedi down, and Neeson is keen on living up to ...

Star Wars 7: Why The Cast Is Committed To Protecting The Film's Secrets

J.J. Abrams is notoriously tightlipped when it comes to the details on his movies. Remember how often he swore Benedict Cumberbatch was not playing Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness? Understandably, he's even more secretive when it comes to Star Wars: Episode 7. One of his stars, Domhnall Gleeson, says he's never had to deal with so many secrets surrounding a project before, but he had an experience on set that put everything into perspective. The About Time and Harry Potter actor recently spoke to RadioTimes.com on the subject. As he said: Once I got to set, the way ...

Trailer For Ryan Reynolds' Black Comedy The Voices Arrives

The Voices Trailer Hits The Web

'Mr. Whiskers... he makes me do bad things'

There's a new trailer for Ryan Reynolds’ The Voices and it’s every bit as twisted as you’d expect from a black comedy about a serial killer who follows instructions from a talking cat called Mr. Whiskers. There’s also a talking dog, an Elvis impersonator and Gemma Arterton’s head in a fridge. Click below to take a look.

The Voices sees Reynolds playing a diffident warehouse worker called Jerry Hickfang. He wouldn’t normally say “boo” to a goose but, as it turns out, he probably would brutally stab it to death with its own beak if Mr. Whiskers told him too. When he plucks up the courage to ask that pretty girl in accounting (Anna Kendrick) out, he must try to resist the feline’s foul bidding. Luckily, he has his trusty bull mastiff Bosco to offer a voice of reason.

Jacki Weaver and Gemma Arterton round out the cast as his puzzled shrink and reanimated victim respectively.

Marje ‘Persepolis’ Satrapi has overseen this deliriously barking-looking confection, working from a script by Paranormal Activity 2’s Michael R. Perry and with Reynolds himself providing all the animal voices. The Voices played to appreciative crowds at Sundance last year and we’ll be seeing it on UK screens on March 20.
