George Lucas Was Terrible At Predicting The Future Of Star Wars

It turns out that George Lucas really did think that the final instalment to the Star Wars tale was Return of the Jedi. An interview with the iconic filmmaker from May 2008 has revealed that George Lucas didn't have any plans to make Episodes VII-IX. Which probably explains why J.J. Abrams was hired to add to the franchise. George Lucas made these remarks during an interview with Total Film [shared via the Twitter feed of Cinephilia & Beyond] over five years ago. And now that the first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has got everyone heated up about the ...

Cliff Curtis Starring In The Walking Dead Companion Series

Cliff Curtis Starring In The Walking Dead Companion Series

No, it's not a zombie sitcom

Cliff-Curtis-Walking-Dead-spin-off

Despite The Walking Dead, by its very nature, being one of the more depressing series on television, it is also a massive hit. So it wasn’t shocking to learn last year that US network AMC was planning a spin-off companion show. Now we know that Cliff Curtis will be the anchor for the new potential series.

No, the company has not decided to mess with the format and opt for a hilarious zombie sitcom about a woman dealing with both the undead apocalypse and her slovenly, brain-craving husband called Oh, You Rotter! Instead the show, which doesn’t yet have an official title, but is codenamed Cobalt, focuses on a divorced teacher (Curtis), a good man trying to do right as civilization crumbles around him.

He’ll be joined in story by a yet-to-be-cast female guidance counsellor and her kids, who will be played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey. The exact setting for the show has yet to be revealed, so we may not see much of a crossover with Rick and co., except if the new series needs a boost during sweeps time, or they plan a Very Special Zombie Christmas episode. This new embryonic series comes from Dead comic book co-creator (and show executive producer) Robert Kirkman and Sons Of Anarchy/Marco Polo man David Erickson, with Adam Davidson set to direct the pilot.

Star Wars 7, As Directed By Wes Anderson

I'm not sure which I've enjoyed more, the actual Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer (which is incredible), or the clever spoofs that have emerged in the days following its release. We recently brought you a funny clip that used the Force Awakens audio to show what J.J. Abrams' Guardians of the Galaxy would look like. Thene there was the LEGO version of the teaser. Now, there's a spot-on version of the Star Wars trailer, as if Wes Anderson had directed it. Jonah Feingold posted the clip to YouTube, and it does more than just ape Wes Anderson's distinct ...

Evangeline Lilly Doesn't Think Edgar Wright Should Have Directed Ant-Man

For a moment after Edgar Wright left the production of Marvel Studio's Ant-Man, the entire project looked like it had the possibility to fall apart at the seams. Not only did the film lose a director, but shortly after Wright's departure, it started to lose cast members due to re-writes and schedule conflicts. What we didn't know, until now, is that Evangeline Lilly almost left the project during this point of turmoil, and it was on her own accord. BuzzFeed interviewed Lilly as she was promoting The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies, as well as her children's book, " ...
